Copperhill Special Train Ride (Etowah, Tennessee) – 9:30am-5:30pm

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

Copperhill Special Trip, 8-hour excursion (http://bit.ly/2MHrYh0) begins at Etowah, TN and runs through the Cherokee National Forest and lower Hiwassee River Gorge, over the Bald Mountain Loop, and on to the joint cities of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. Passengers will have a 90-minute layover in the Town of Copperhill during which they can enjoy lunch and explore the town.

Citizen Brews Beer Festival – 3pm-10pm

The Daily Ration

A beer festival, Citizen Brews, hosted by the Daily Ration featuring only beers from Chattanooga breweries. Eight breweries will be present with two specialty beers available from each. The beers will either be special release, or brand new beers to the market. Breweries include: Heaven & Ale, Hutton & Smith, Oddstory Brewing Co., Chattanooga Brewing Co., Terminal Brewhouse, Big River Brewing, Wanderlinger Brewing and Naked River Brewing. Citizen Brews and The Daily Ration will be donating $1 of every drink ticket sale to Chattanooga Friends, a non-profit that supports Northside Neighborhood House and Siskin Children’s Institute.

Chattanooga River Market – opens at 11am

Against the picturesque Tennessee River, the Chattanooga River Market boasts the unique talents of our local and regional artists and offers handmade arts & crafts, along with a wide selection of jewelry, photography, apparel, woodworks and much more. Special engagements are featured each week, such as free yoga classes at 10 am (bring your own mat please) and live performances by local musicians. The Chattanooga River Market is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Dinner on the Diner Train Ride – 7pm-9pm

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

The trips include a three-course dining experience usually on board a restored 1924 dining car. Excursion trains will depart from Chattanooga's Grand Junction Station in the evening, traveling at a leisurely pace through portions of urban East Chattanooga before reversing direction and returning to Grand Junction.

Indra Thomas in Concert – 7pm

Heritage High School

Indra Thomas will be performing a varied repertoire of her favorite music from multiple genres to help raise funds for the Katie Beth Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund. Indra will be accompanied by Julie Bearden Carver. Both of them are well-renowned musicians (see bios below) and are graciously donating their time and talents to our cause. This will be a special night filled with amazing performances. Get your tickets now (tickets by Eventbrite), as seating is limited. Paragliding Nationals
Sequatchie Valley Soaring Flying sites.
80-100 paragliders will race around the Sequatchie Valley of TN every day for a week. Sanctioned Competition circuit determines the US national rankings and the US World Team members. This is one of two national events this year for paragliding racing in the USA.

Labor Day Car Show 8:00am-2:30pm
Walker County Civic Center
The Labor Day Car Show benefits the Al Millard Memorial Stocking Full of Love for Walker County and is one of the largest fundraisers of the year. The Stocking Full of Love provided Christmas toys to 1,312 Walker County children and helped 493 families at a cost of $47,000 in 2017.
