FINDING A HOME
"Wow, I really don't know how to say thank you to you. And you know by now that I am not often at a loss for words! You have been such a blessing through the journey of finding our new home. You worked with us tirelessly by phone for weeks. You spent the better part of a week taking us back and forth to different houses (and allowed Ryan to snack often from your back seat). You completed contracts and paper work by mail and e-mail. You sealed the deal and then helped us begin the process of renovation. We get to closing and you work tirelessly on home warranty stuff. You take no money in the purchase of our home and you even give us $500.00 for furniture. What an incredible blessing you have been to our family! We really don't know how to adequately say thank you. Your ministry to us will always be remembered and we will always count you as our friend from Soddy Daisy. Not only would Ryan fight to the death for you, but Denise and I would also. Thank you so much for all you did. We love our new home and we pray that God will use our home for His glory. As we live there, we will always think of you and be grateful for you. We could really never repay your kindness. Thanks, Paula, for being God's servant through this journey with us...we love you!"

If your house is a typical one, there is probably some kind of small, leggy creature that makes its home with you. Whether they are termites, fleas, roaches, ants, or spiders, it is a good idea to serve them with an eviction notice before you put your home on the market. If home remedies like ionized boric acid don't work, paying a professional exterminator will be money well spent.
Most standard sales agreements require that a property be inspected before the closing and treated for termite infestation, if necessary. It is a good idea to check for insect problems as soon as you sign a listing agreement, so that they don't become an issue of contention in the sale. Some insects may not physically damage the house, but may reduce its chances of selling for top dollar. Constantly having to push back spider webs while touring the house could seriously undermine a prospective buyer's ability to fully appreciate your home.
