Fourth Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire-6:00pm-9:00pm

Treetop Hideaways

Now that Christmas is over, you could put your poor dried out Christmas tree by the curb.

OR

you could continue the celebratory season by watching your tree burn in a glorious blaze atop a pile of other trees! What better way to start the new year than by watching a conflagration of past  Christmas celebrations and the remnants of the old year turn to ashes.

Your new year needs to begin with friends around a bonfire...

Drop off your tree anytime before Friday, January 19th at 576 Chattanooga Valley Road. This will again be epic, and you can take part! (Last year we had 119 trees!)

BYOCT (bring your own Christmas trees. And hot dogs and beer and chairs and things too.) This is a free event and will be a family-friendly environment. Dogs are welcome on a leash.

Smith has amassed an unfailingly devout fan base, not only in his native Southeast region, but all around the nation, simply by telling it the way it is. He has released 10 albums—including 2011’s Top 20 release The Broken Record. Corey has written every word on every album himself and he produced 9 out of 10 of the records. In Summer 2015, Corey teamed up with producer Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band) for his album, “While the Gettin’ Is Good, ”which was released on Sugar Hill Records. Smith’s concerts, which were documented on his last live record, Live in Chattanooga, regularly sell out, with audiences singing along to such fan favorites as the coming-of-age anthem “Twenty-One,” the nostalgic time warp “If I Could Do It Again” and the group hug “I Love Everyone.” Corey consistently tours, hitting around 120 dates per year and has begun releasing singles from his upcoming project, the Great Wide Underground.

Muscadine Bloodline with Koe Wetzel--9:00pm-12:00am

Songbirds South

Unapologetically Alabama. There’s a new force making major waves in country music. Natives of Mobile Alabama, Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster came together to form Muscadine Bloodline in early 2016. With three single releases under their belt and a schedule full of shows spanning from coast to coast, they’ve hit the ground running from day 1. Nashville took notice the first time these two stepped on the stage and it’s no surprise the rest of the music world is quickly catching on. Charlie’s [contemporary] vocals complimented by Gary’s harmonies and masterful guitar licks, MB is a powerfully refreshing mix of talent, passion and unfiltered authenticity. Infamously undaunted by the big stage, their sound intertwines the brash irreverence of early southern rockers with the seductive quality of 90s country love songs. Captivating hooks heard in songs like “Porch Swing Angel” and the aggressively anthemic “Shut Your Mouth” stand as a testament to MB’s wide ranging music-making capability. Every song and every show is a moving experience but at the same time, unmistakably Muscadine Bloodline. Purchase tickets for $20-$25 via eventbrite. Women’s Only Self-Defense Seminar with TKOd--2:00pm-4:00pm

The Commons

As the winter draws nearer the days become shorter. Yet, the holiday season causes us to be out and about even more, and sometimes well after the sun goes down. Crimes of opportunity thrive in this environment and women and girls are often chosen as "easy" targets. With all that needs to be done we can be busy and regimented and often unaware of the risks we are taking as we juggle tasks. What would you do if someone threatens you? If you don't have a good answer, this seminar is for you. This seminar will focus on empowering women with self-defense techniques that can be learned in an afternoon and inform them by teaching how desperate people determine opportunity. Learn how to become a "hard" target in an instant and repel opportunists from ruining your plans. Better still, learn how to avoid situations that embolden desperate people to upset your life.
