How To Spot A Good Real Estate Agent

by The Paula McDaniel Group

How To Spot A Good Real Estate Agent

When buying or selling a home, choosing a real estate agent is one of the most important decisions you might make! There are so many factors to consider when deciding if an agent is the best fit for you, and not all agents are made the same! Some of the most important qualities of a good real estate agent is reputation and industry recognition. You want someone that you can trust and who has the reputation of going above and beyond for their clients. Before deciding on an agent, ask others of their experience with an agent or read the agent's reviews and testimonials.

An experienced agent who knows the area well will help with answering many of the questions you may have. They will also be able to guide you through different circumstances and any issues that may arise during your real estate transaction. Experienced agents are key because they know the tried and true methods of buying and selling real estate, all while getting the very best outcome for their clients!

Travis Tritt at the Tivoli Theatre - Sunday, 7:30pm

His 1990 debut Country Club and its succession of hits put him in the vanguard of the genre’s early ’90s boom. At the same time, his conspicuous lack of a cowboy hat and musical aggressiveness set him apart. The next eight albums and scores of hit singles led him to amass more than 25 million in career album sales, two Grammys, three CMA Awards and a devoted fan base that filled venues coast-to-coast. Theatre Center Presents “Murder on the Nile” - showings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Chattanooga Theatre Center

Idyllic surroundings are shattered by a shocking murder as one would expect from an Agatha Christie mystery story, but with the Chattanooga Theatre Centre’s interpretation of the celebrated writer’s “Murder on the Nile,” opening May 17 and running through June 9, you might feel that you’ve been dropped into the middle of a classic film of yore, not a classic whodunit on the stage. Nonetheless, this is live theatre at its best, with a delicious murder mystery giving every character the opportunity to show their best (and worst) selves. Loving Vincent / Loving Vincent: The Impossible Dream - Sunday, 4:00pm-7:00pm

Palace Theater

Loving Vincent is the world’s first fully oil painted feature film. The film brings the paintings of Vincent van Gogh to life to tell his remarkable story. Every one of the 65,000 frames of the film is an oil-painting hand-painted by 125 professional oil-painters who travelled from all across the world to the Loving Vincent studios in Poland and Greece to be a part of the production. Loving Vincent: The Impossible Dream recalls a 10 year journey that brought the world's first painted feature film to the cinema screen. The potential for a truly groundbreaking yet completely unseen project seemed like a huge risk, but when in the hands of passionate filmmakers willing to risk everything to make their impossible dream come true, nothing could stand in their way. One chance to see both of these brilliant films. May 12th 4pm - $10. Photo and information about this event are from www.facebook.com/events

Evoking wide-open vistas and the spirit of travel, American indie outfit Lord Huron emerged in the early 2010s on the heels of the indie folk boom, bringing together an expansive and dynamic blend of folk, rock, pop, and threads of Americana. Led by Michigan native Ben Schneider, the Los Angeles-based Lord Huron -- who take their name from one of the five Great Lakes -- found mainstream success in 2014 with the release of their lush, Western-inspired second album, Strange Trails, whose closing track, "The Night We Met," reached an even larger audience in 2017 thanks to a key placement in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. The song charted in North America, Europe, and Australia. Republic Records took note and offered the band a record deal. Lord Huron's major-label debut, Vide Noir, hit shelves and streaming sites in April 2018, reaching the number ten spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Chattanooga Film Festival 2019: Deadtectives - Saturday, 11:55pm-1:55am

Chattanooga Theatre Centre in the Screena Turner Theater

Comedy and horror are two genres that, when combined carefully and in the correct proportions, make something special. Few films have managed to achieve this alchemy (Ghostbusters springs to mind as a shining example), so when one gets it—you’ll excuse the pun (no you won’t)—DEAD right, we have no choice but to share it with our CFF audience. Deadtectives pulls off the balancing act of weaving scares, laughs and some serious heart into one delightful package. Purchase tickets via eventbrite for $12. Photo and information about this event are from www.eventbrite.com

Chattanooga Film Festival 2019 - Body at Brighton Rock - Sunday, 2:40pm-4:40pm

Chattanooga Theatre Centre in the Bruce Springscreen Theater

CFF fan favorite filmmaker Roxanne Benjamin is back with a terrifically tense thriller. All alliteration aside (see what we did there?) we’ve loved Roxanne’s work for years, and we’re thrilled to have an opportunity to share her latest. Here’s the story: Wendy, a part-time summer employee at a mountainous state park, takes on a rough trail assignment at the end of the season, trying to prove to her friends she’s capable enough to do the job. When she takes a wrong turn and ends up deep in the backcountry, she stumbles upon what might be a potential crime scene. Stuck with no communication after losing her radio and with orders to guard the site, Wendy must fight the urge to run and do the harder job of staying put, spending the night deep in the wilderness, facing down her worst fears and proving to everyone—including herself—she’s made of stronger stuff than they think she is. Purchase tickets via eventbrite for $15. Photo and information about this event are from www.eventbrite.com

“Meet Me in St. Louis” Presented by the Lee University Theatre and School of Music - Saturday and Sunday at 7:30pm

Dixon Center at Lee University

Based on the heartwarming MGM film, Meet Me in St. Louis is a rare treasure in the musical theatre; a wholesome and delightful portrait of a turn-of-the-century American family. It is the summer of 1903, and the Smith family eagerly anticipates the opening of the 1904 World’s Fair. Over the course of a year, the family’s mutual respect, tempered with good-natured humor, helps them through romance, opportunity, and heartbreaks. Memorable musical numbers include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “The Boy Next Door,” “The Trolley Song,” and “Whenever I’m with You.” Recommended for Ages 10+ (no babes in arms, please). His edgy autobiographical humor will take you on a roller coaster ride of subjects from his Redneck Mother and growing up with 6-sisters…to his celebrity run-ins during his previous life as a prestigious country club golf pro. You’ve seen him on MTV, FOX, WGN, and you’ve heard him on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show, and Sirius XM Radio.
