A native of Chattanooga Tennessee, Dallas Walker got his start singing at local churches. Later he played and sang on stages across the country, mostly Southern Gospel, and Bluegrass Gospel. Now, for the first time, he is branching out into Traditional Country Music with a touch of Southern Rock. He’s performed with Channing Wilson and Pee Wee Moore at Songbirds South.

Copper Hill Special Train Ride – 9:30a-5:30p

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

An 8-hour excursion begins at Etowah, TN and runs through the Cherokee National Forest and lower Hiwassee River Gorge, over the Bald Mountain Loop, and on to the joint cities of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. Passengers will have a 90-minute layover in the Town of Copperhill during which they can enjoy lunch and explore the town.

Chickamauga Turn Train Ride – 10:00a-4:15p

Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

this trip is a 6 hour and fifteen-minute ride and includes an hour and a half layover in the City of Chickamauga, GA. A special 30-minute stop at the Chickamauga National Military Park allows time for a tour of historic Wilder Tower. Lunch options are available, including on-train dining as well as “no lunch” option which allows passengers to enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants in Chickamauga.

2018 International Cowpea Festival and Cook-off – 10:00a-8:00p

Come on out to the International Cowpea Festival & Cook-off for a day filled with food, music and fun. Listen to live music throughout the day, taste the professional chef’s culinary creations and vote for your favorite and stroll through the marketplace where you will find handmade arts and crafts. There will also be food vendors and a heritage area to share other parts of Charleston’s story such as Cherokee, Civil War and Wild River history. A photo contest will be held prior to the festival and the winners will be announced on stage the day of the festival. The daylong event also features a family fun field with inflatables, games and a petting zoo. A detailed schedule of events will be available soon.

10th Annual Doggie Paddle Pool Party! – 11a-3p

Swim with your pup in an Olympic-sized pool or one of two wading pools at The Warner Park Pool. All sized dogs are welcome! Saturday, September 8th 11am-3pm.

Following upon the 2012 spectacular Nashville show, Repticon made further headway into Tennessee in February 2013 with the exciting arrival of Repticon Chattanooga! With the challenges faced by Tennessee herpers given the State laws, enthusiasts enjoyed this opportunity of another great reptile and exotic animal show with thousands of top quality animals not found anywhere else in the area. The complete experience included socializing with fellow herpers in interactive live animal presentations, free raffles, and shopping among all the supplies, cages, merchandise and feeders to support new pets.
