Travis Tritt at the Tivoli Theatre - Sunday, 7:30pm

The highly abbreviated Tritt timeline has the young Georgian incorporating lifelong influences in Southern Rock, blues and gospel into his country during a honky-tonk apprenticeship that led him to Warner Bros. His 1990 debut Country Club and its succession of hits put him in the vanguard of the genre’s early ’90s boom. At the same time, his conspicuous lack of a cowboy hat and musical aggressiveness set him apart. The next eight albums and scores of hit singles led him to amass more than 25 million in career album sales, two Grammys, three CMA Awards and a devoted fan base that filled venues coast-to-coast. Purchase tickets for $34.50-$89.50. Photo and information about this event are from www.facebook.com/events

Theatre Center Presents “Murder on the Nile” - showings on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Chattanooga Theatre Center

Idyllic surroundings are shattered by a shocking murder as one would expect from an Agatha Christie mystery story, but with the Chattanooga Theatre Centre’s interpretation of the celebrated writer’s “Murder on the Nile,” opening May 17 and running through June 9, you might feel that you’ve been dropped into the middle of a classic film of yore, not a classic whodunit on the stage. Nonetheless, this is live theatre at its best, with a delicious murder mystery giving every character the opportunity to show their best (and worst) selves. It finds her unafraid to take on the big questions — the life-or-death reckonings, and the ones that just feel that way. It's a record full of bracing realizations, tearful declarations and moments of hard-won peace, expressed in lyrics that feel destined for countless yearbook quotes and first tattoos. Loving Vincent / Loving Vincent: The Impossible Dream - Sunday, 4:00pm-7:00pm

Palace Theater

Loving Vincent is the world’s first fully oil painted feature film. The film brings the paintings of Vincent van Gogh to life to tell his remarkable story. Every one of the 65,000 frames of the film is an oil-painting hand-painted by 125 professional oil-painters who travelled from all across the world to the Loving Vincent studios in Poland and Greece to be a part of the production. Loving Vincent: The Impossible Dream recalls a 10 year journey that brought the world's first painted feature film to the cinema screen. The potential for a truly groundbreaking yet completely unseen project seemed like a huge risk, but when in the hands of passionate filmmakers willing to risk everything to make their impossible dream come true, nothing could stand in their way. One chance to see both of these brilliant films. May 12th 4pm - $10. Photo and information about this event are from www.facebook.com/events
