There are many ways you can bring in the new year.
Some will start 2021 with a special meal in hopes to bring good fortune.
Eating black-eyed peas, collard greens or cabbage, pork, and cornbread is a classic tradition to celebrate on New Year's Day.
The black-eyed peas are for good fortune, the collard greens or cabbage are for a financially prosperous new year, pork is eaten because pigs are considered to be a lucky animal and an animal of progress, and last but not least is cornbread which represents golden opportunities.
