Muscadine Bloodline with Koe Wetzel--9:00pm-12:00am

Songbirds South

Unapologetically Alabama. There’s a new force making major waves in country music. Natives of Mobile Alabama, Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster came together to form Muscadine Bloodline in early 2016. With three single releases under their belt and a schedule full of shows spanning from coast to coast, they’ve hit the ground running from day 1. Nashville took notice the first time these two stepped on the stage and it’s no surprise the rest of the music world is quickly catching on. Charlie’s [contemporary] vocals complimented by Gary’s harmonies and masterful guitar licks, MB is a powerfully refreshing mix of talent, passion and unfiltered authenticity. Infamously undaunted by the big stage, their sound intertwines the brash irreverence of early southern rockers with the seductive quality of 90s country love songs. Captivating hooks heard in songs like “Porch Swing Angel” and the aggressively anthemic “Shut Your Mouth” stand as a testament to MB’s wide ranging music-making capability. Every song and every show is a moving experience but at the same time, unmistakably Muscadine Bloodline. Purchase tickets for $20-$25 via eventbrite. Women’s Only Self-Defense Seminar with TKOd--2:00pm-4:00pm

The Commons

As the winter draws nearer the days become shorter. Yet, the holiday season causes us to be out and about even more, and sometimes well after the sun goes down. Crimes of opportunity thrive in this environment and women and girls are often chosen as "easy" targets. With all that needs to be done we can be busy and regimented and often unaware of the risks we are taking as we juggle tasks. What would you do if someone threatens you? If you don't have a good answer, this seminar is for you. This seminar will focus on empowering women with self-defense techniques that can be learned in an afternoon and inform them by teaching how desperate people determine opportunity. Learn how to become a "hard" target in an instant and repel opportunists from ruining your plans. Better still, learn how to avoid situations that embolden desperate people to upset your life. Photo and information about this event are from https://www.facebook.com/events/563345827450817/This is a completely FREE, WOMEN’S ONLY event for members and non-members alike.

Gary Clark Jr. Concert -- 8:00pm
The Signal
Rarely does an artist explode onto the music scene with the force and impact of a comet. But when it does happen — as it did when 26-year-old singer-guitarist Gary Clark Jr. delivered an incendiary debut performance of his song “Bright Lights” at Eric Clapton's 2010 Crossroads Guitar Festival last June — the result is magical. Funky and hip, Gary Clark Jr. is a rocking soul man for a new generation….Weaned on John Lee Hooker, Lightnin Hopkins, and T-Bone Walker, Clark fuses his deep blues influence with a love of classic hip-hop and contemporary soul. His voice weaves between a melodic lilt and a seasoned blues howl with his guitar licks dancing and dodging between and behind the beat as if the essence of Snoop and Dre loom in his head by way of the Mississippi Delta. The virtuosity Clark displays, and the tone he rings from his cherry-red Epiphone Casino guitar, put most modern rock shredders to shame.
